Seattle-based Maveron hired David Wu as venture partner in the San Francisco office. Wu is an angel investor and entrepreneur with ties to the Silicon Valley entrepreneurial community, and is on the board of directors of Line2 and SeatMe. Maveron is a consumer-only venture capital firm with offices in Seattle and San Francisco. It was founded in 1998 by Dan Levitan and Howard Schultz of Starbucks.
Vancouver-based CoHoRes hired Gretchen Gettles as director of sales. Gettles has been in the hospitality industry since 1991, with sales expertise in large brand and independent hotels. CoHoRes is an electronic platform that connects hotels using the Global Distribution System, Internet Distribution System and Booking Engine applications.
KeyBank opened its 96th Seattle-area branch in the Wedgwood neighborhood at 7303 35th Ave. N.E. The branch will be managed by Chelan Shero. The grand opening is Aug. 25.

Seattle-based ExtraHop Networks hired Erika Giesa as senior vice president of marketing. Giesa worked as senior vice president of product management at F5 Networks. ExtraHop Networks provides network-based management solutions ensuring business-critical transactions do not fail.
Chief Petty Officer Jeff Ruggieri assumed command of Coast Guard Aids to Navigation Team Kennewick. Ruggieri replaces chief petty office Gary Hurdle who will transfer to Cutter Mellon in Seattle. Ruggieri enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1989 and served as commanding officer of ANT Los Angeles/Long Beach, San Pedro, Calif.
Issaquah-based NAES Corp. hired Mark Minniti as vice president and general manager of the NAES Power Contractors office in Cranberry Township, Penn. Minniti was vice president at Day & Zimmermann Engineering, Construction & Maintenance. NAES is a service provider for energy markets.
Seattle-based Madison Park Capital Partners hired Erik Ogard as managing principal. Ogard was director of multi-strategy solutions for Russell Investments. Madison Park Capital is a new alternative asset management firm.

Erik Liedholm, company wine director for John Howie Restaurant Group has been named “Sommelier of the Year” by Seattle magazine. Howie's wine lists have received numerous awards including best new wine list in America by Food and Wine magazine, best wine list in Seattle by seattle.citysearch.com and the award of excellence by Wine Spectator magazine. The award is presented to an individual who delivers exceptional service and education.

The Renton Mayor's office appointed Preeti Shridhar as deputy public affairs administrator. Shridhar served as communications director and assumes some of the responsibilities formerly held by the assistant chief administrative office, a position cut due to budget cuts.
London-based Ernst & Young announced Ed Grabowy and Sandy Wight as senior partners and promoted Christian Tinder to principal and Tracy Jones to director to its Seattle office. Grabowy served as the Asia Pacific regional audit partner for the Shanghai office; Wight is partner in the Human Capital Mobility practice; Tinder works in advisory practice and Jones serves as administrative services leader. Ernst & Young is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services.
