Walla Walla-based Banner Bank promoted Deanna Mantie to vice president and relationship manager. Mantie has served the Woodinville community since 2005 when she joined Banner Bank as a senior credit analyst and is an active member of the Bothell Lions Club. Banner Bank is a Washington-chartered community commercial bank with 86 locations in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.


Seattle-based Pacific International Bank hired Janie Sacco as FVP & SBA Manager and Jin Lee as first vice president and relationship manager. Sacco has worked in banking for more than 30 years in operations management and small business lending; Lee was a vice president & business development officer for Sterling Savings Bank and US Bank. Pacific International is a full-service bank with locations in Seattle, Tacoma, Lynnwood and Federal Way.
Symetra Life Insurance Co. said Jeff Farmer has been named Eastern region sales vice president for the Benefits Division. He will focus on medical stop-loss and group life and disability income insurance. Farmer worked at Mercer Health & Benefits covering nine states from Florida to Maryland.

Tacoma-based JayRay hired Brandi Monson to the public relations advising team. Monson was public relations specialist and managed marketing communications for Pacific Lutheran University's Continuing Nursing Education Program. JayRay offers branding, advertising and strategic communications.

Seattle-based law firm Helsell Fetterman hired attorney Shelley Buckholtz as of counsel in the business, real estate and tax practice groups. Buckholtz has served numerous industries, from professional services to natural resources and agriculture. Helsell Fetterman provides civil litigation, business and family law.
Executive Dow Constantine appointed Betsy Jones to lead King County's policy on health and human services. Jones is director of product development for Community Health Plan of Washington and will succeed Anna Markee who was the executive's interim health and human potential policy advisor.

Commissioner of public lands Peter Goldmark hired Megan Duffy as deputy supervisor of aquatics and geology, and Alicia Dunkin as director of legislative and external affairs. Duffy served as executive coordinator of the Washington State Recreation & Conservation Office; Dunkin was natural resource budget-policy assistant to Governor Gregoire in the Office of Financial Management. The department manages more than 5.6 million acres of state-owned lands.
Chicago-based West Monroe Partners hired Tom Bolger as managing director of strategic growth and Seattle office lead. Bolger opened the firm's Seattle office in 2005 and has overseen its growth to more than 40 employees and 20 active clients across the Pacific Northwest. West Monroe Partners is a business and technology consulting firm.
U.S. Bank Wealth Management hired Naoko Sasaki Huffman as vice president and senior wealth planner for the Private Client Reserve of Seattle. Huffman was senior vice president wealth strategist in the Seattle office of U.S. Trust/Bank of America Private Wealth Management.
