Tacoma-based Columbia Bank hired Lynne Nelson as vice president of professional banking. Nelson worked for 10 years as a senior broker for Consani Seims Limited. Columbia Banking System is the holding company of Columbia State Bank, a state-chartered commercial bank.

Tacoma-based Meracord hired Robert Weening as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Weening has 20 years of industry experience and served as chief financial officer at Velocity Commercial Capital. Meracord is a third-party contract payment processing service provider.

Moss Adams

Seattle-based public accounting firm Moss Adams named Chris Schmidt as chairman and chief executive officer, and Dick Fohn as president and chief operating officer. Schmidt has served as president and COO of Moss Adams since 2004 and was managing partner of the Orange County office from 1997 to 2004. Fohn has served as director of tax since 2011 and prior to that was managing partner of the Bellingham office. Both appointments begin in the first half of 2013.
