Seattle-based law firm Lane Powell hired Tamara Fountain as an attorney in the litigation practice group. Fountain focuses on workplace discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination, and previously worked for Microsoft as an attorney-employee relations investigator. Lane Powell has more than 200 attorneys with offices in Seattle, Portland, Anchorage, Olympia, Tacoma and London.
Portland-based 52 Limited hired Nate Webb as account manager and Kate Donnell as office manager in Portland. Webb was a recruiter for Aerotek staffing company and Donnell has worked in a variety of industries. 52 Limited is a staffing firm for the creative industry.
Bellevue-based Puget Sound Energy promoted David Mills to vice president of energy supply operations. Mills joined PSE in 2002 and is on the board of directors for the Pacific Northwest Utilities Conference Committee. PSE provides electrical power and natural gas in the Puget Sound region.

Seattle-based Sound Telecom hired Lakesha Smith as office administrator. Smith has more than 16 years of experience in call center support, customer service management and office administration. Sound Telecom provides 24-hour telephone answering, call center and communication services.
K&L Gates hired Hugh Matsubayashi as a Seattle partner in the intellectual property procurement and portfolio management practice. Matsubayashi was vice president of legal affairs and intellectual property at NeuroVista, and prior to that was partner with a Silicon Valley law firm and senior patent counsel for Sun Microsystems. K&L Gates has more than 40 offices in North America, Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East.
The Bellevue Collection said Eastside restaurateur Lakshmi Thanu has opened Moksha restaurant, serving a new style of Indian cuisine: Karaikudi. An Indian native, Thanu's family has operated restaurants in India since the 1940s.

Seattle Law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt hired Kevin Dothager and Charlie Zhao as associates. Dothager served as a patent examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office working on software development. Zhao focuses his practice on patent law, including electrical, computer and mechanical arts.

Spokane-based Healthcare Resource Group hired Carole Morris as director of compliance. Morris worked within the University of California Davis Health System for 25 years, most recently as manager of the Compliance & Privacy Program. Healthcare Resource Group focuses on the revenue cycle of health care.
Washington State Bar Association President Michele Radosevich and President-elect Patrick Palace were sworn in at the WSBA Annual Awards Dinner. Radosevich is a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine. Palace opened Palace Law Offices in 1995. New governors are: Kenneth Masters, Gerald Moberg, Hon. Paul Bastine, Barb Rhoads-Weaver and Robin Lynn Haynes.
