Bates Technical College has appointed Ed Ulman as interim executive director and general manager of KBTC Public Television. Ulman has been KBTC's development director for four years. Ulman will hold the interim position for three to six months, while Bates conducts a national search for a permanent hire.
California-based Sabal Financial Group named Dean Mix as production officer for the home builder lending division in the Pacific Northwest region. Mix was executive vice president and senior relationship manager at Construction Lending NW. Sabal Financial Group is a diversified financial services firm.
Seattle-based Point B named Ben Burke practice director of retail and consumer products. Burke, a nine-year veteran of Point B, has worked in several leadership positions for the firm. Point B is a management consulting and venture investment firm.

Portland-based law firm Stoel Rives hired John R. Neidecker as chief business development officer. Neidecker was chief client development officer for Edwards Wildman Palmer in Boston.
University Book Store CEO Bryan Pearce, who had been with the store since 1990 and was named CEO in 2002, died April 20 after a yearlong battle with cancer. His successor is Louise Little, who has been the store's director of human resources since 1989. Pearce was well known on the UW campus and in local communities, and served on several local boards as well as on the board of the Independent College Bookstore Association.
Washington Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler named Jim Odiorne as chief deputy. Odiorne came to the agency in 1989. He has worked as deputy commissioner of the company supervision division since 1996.
Redmond-based MicroVision hired Stephen P. Holt as chief financial officer and Michael J. Franzi as vice president of marketing and business development. Holt was chief financial officer at PixelOptics. Franzi was vice president and general manager of Sonic Focus at Synopsys. MicroVision specializes in innovative ultra-miniature projection display technology.

Bellevue-based T-Mobile hired Drew Kelton as executive vice president of business markets. Kelton was president of Bharti Airtel Business in India.
Aegis Living promoted Marc Nowak to vice president of Washington Operations; Adam Clark promoted to general manager of the Marymoor location and hired Rob Liebreich as general manager of the Madison location. Ãegis Living is a national leader in assisted living and memory care, offering a selection of senior residences to meet the growing needs of today's aging population.
City of Kent chief administrative officer John Hodgson announced his retirement effective May 31. Hodgson has spent 33 years in municipal government service. He was hired as Kent's parks and recreation director in 1994 and worked as chief administrative officer for the past seven years.
