Australia-based Mobius Institute named Michael Howard director of reliability solutions for its North American headquarters in Bainbridge Island. Howard is a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked for General Electric, Allied Reliability and Kerr-McGee Chemical. Mobius provides vibration analysis and machine reliability training courses and products.
Wells Fargo opened a new branch in South Lake Union at 510 Terry Ave. N., with Mike Kleckner as store manager.
The Pierce Workforce Development Council's executive board announced three appointments: Isa Nichols, CEO of Maxine Mimms Academies; Dr. Charles Horne, corporate affairs officer at MMA and Tacoma Ministerial Alliance; and Blaine Wolfe, project executive for Absher Construction. The council is one of 12 workforce development boards in Washington that oversees management of the federal Workforce Investment Act.

Seattle Center hired Lance Miller as campus manager. Miller was general manager of Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, Calif., and before that was managing director of One Reel, producers of Bumbershoot. He also directed the opening of White River Amphitheater in Auburn. Miller will oversee event sales and servicing, and grounds and facilities for venues that include KeyArena, Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, Fisher Pavilion, Seattle Center Armory and outdoor spaces.
Atlanta-based Digital Insurance, an employee benefits-only agency, has acquired Berg Andonian, an employee benefits firm headquartered in Gig Harbor. The 15-year-old agency now operates as part of Digital Benefit Advisors, a division of Digital Insurance, and is the company's first office in Washington. Co-founders Joe Berg and Kirk Andonian joined Digital to expand client services.
Bellevue-based Overlake Medical Center President and CEO Craig Hendrickson has announced he will retire in June 2014. Craig has 42 years of health care experience and has been with Overlake since 2001. He was promoted to president and CEO in 2005, and will continue as CEO until a replacement is hired.

Tacoma-based JayRay hired Rob McNair-Huff as an advisor. McNair-Huff spent eight years in the city of Tacoma's communications department, including six years as communications director and media spokesperson. JayRay is a branding, advertising and strategic communications agency.

The Port of Everett hired Walter Seidl as marketing director. Seidl is a licensed merchant mariner and has spent 27 years in terminal, logistics and vessel operations on the West Coast, including more than 10 years with APL in Seattle. Six shipping lines regularly call at the port, and exports are up 29 percent over 2011 levels. The port has completed the first phase of a new Ro/Ro cargo dock and is upgrading its on-terminal rail capacity.
