Heathman Hotel Kirkland

Jim Larson is the new general manager at The Heathman Hotel Kirkland. Larson has more than 25 years of hotel experience, most recently as general manager for Residence Inn Marriott in Bellevue. Heathman recently renovated its 91 guest rooms and restaurant.

Russell Arnold is Sound Transit's chief customer experience officer, a new position focusing on ways to improve riders' experience. Arnold has six years of management experience at transit agencies, and was director of marketing and communications with San Mateo County Transit District in California.

Washington Trust Bank

Craig Manalili was promoted to Seattle Commercial Banking team lead at Washington Trust Bank. Manalili joined the bank in 2014, and has spent 17 years providing financial advice to wholesalers, manufacturers, service companies and real estate investors. Washington Trust is headquartered in Spokane, and has 43 branches and offices in Washington, Idaho and Oregon.

Peralta

Rosa Peralta was appointed to a five-year term on the Seattle Colleges board of trustees. Peralta is an independent consultant working on civil rights, juvenile justice, community engagement, education and health care. She also serves on the boards of Latinx Health and TeamChild.

KNKX

Albertson

Steve Albertson is the first director of administration at KNKX, where he is overseeing human resources, finance, risk management and administrative functions. Albertson was director of instructor resource management at Xerox, and business development manager at RealNetworks. KNKX is a public radio station in Tacoma.

Ryan

Snohomish County Council vice-chair Terry Ryan was elected president and Pierce County Councilmember Connie Ladenburg was named vice president of the Puget Sound Regional Council's Economic Development Board. Ryan also serves on the boards of other local transportation- and business-related organizations. Ladenburg has served on Tacoma City Council and was a state representative for the 29th Legislative District.

Karch

FareStart CEO Megan Karch will leave the organization to lead IslandWood environmental learning center on Bainbridge Island. Since joining FareStart in 2000, Karch helped expand the Adult Culinary Program and added the Youth Barista, Youth Culinary and Foodservice Apprenticeship programs. Craig Russell, a longtime FareStart board member, will serve as interim CEO. FareStart provides job training in the food industry.

New board members for Woodland Park Zoo are Amy Alcala, Anders Brown, Warren Brown, Bart Ricketts, Kimberly Sambrook and Pallavi Wahi. Alcala is director of global internal communications for operations at Amazon. Anders Brown is president of Valence Group tech consulting firm. Warren Brown is president of North Seattle College. Ricketts is CEO at Lease Crutcher Lewis. Sambrook volunteers at Make-A-Wish and Seattle Humane. Wahi is managing partner of K&L Gates LLP.

Washington PTAC

Washington Procurement Technical Assistance Center opened an office on the 41st floor of the Seattle Municipal Tower. Kylene Peters is running the office, which assists WMBE firms to do business with the city of Seattle. Peters has worked with small- and medium-size businesses for over 15 years. Washington PTAC is managed by Thurston Economic Development Center.
