JND eDiscovery, a division of Seattle-based JND Legal Administration, appointed David Hanika as regional vice president in the Pacific Northwest. Hanika has more than 14 years of eDiscovery experience and specializes in cases involving large data breaches. He was vice president of business development at Advanced Discovery and regional manager at Recommind. JND is a legal management and administration company.
Four Western Washington gastroenterology practices — Digestive Health Specialists, Gastroenterology Associates, Northwest Gastroenterology and Overlake Internal Medicine-Gastroenterology — merged to form Washington Gastroenterology. The new firm has more than 40 gastroenterologists and 20 non-physician providers caring for patients from Kirkland to Olympia.
Marriott picked Crescent Hotels & Resorts to manage the 234-room AC Hotel Seattle Bellevue/Downtown, which opened last summer in Bellevue. Virginia-based Crescent operates over 100 hotels, resorts and conference centers in the U.S. and Canada.

Trial attorney Malika Johnson joined the Seattle office of Tanenbaum Keale. Johnson is a partner representing corporate defendants in toxic tort, product liability, medical device and personal injury litigation. She was deputy prosecuting attorney for the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, and practiced law for four years at Williams Kastner. Tanenbaum Keale opened the Seattle office on Jan. 1 to represent clients in California, Oregon and Washington.
Steve Wenger, director of Central Washington University's Wildcat Shop, was elected trustee of the National Association of College Stores, a trade association that represents nearly 4,000 campus stores in the U.S. and Canada. Wenger was a director of the Independent College Bookstore Association in the past.

Seattle Human Services Department Director Catherine Lester has resigned after seven years with the department to be with her family in Toronto. Jason Johnson, deputy director of the department, will become interim acting director on May 2. A task force will work with Mayor Jenny Durkan to find a permanent replacement.
Kurt Hilbert is leading AAA Washington Insurance's new commercial division, headquartered in the Westlake area of Seattle. Hilbert previously managed the Robinson-Maurer-Welts and Burien General agencies, which AAA Washington acquired a year ago.
Tacoma's Minority Business Development Agency Business Center was named Public Agency of the Year by the Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council. Linda Lee Womack is director of the city's business center.
