Educators schooled on new 'portables'

  • School districts balance tight budgets with modular buildings.

    Several school districts have turned to modular buildings for their classrooms and administrative offices, including Bainbridge Island, top, and University Place, bottom. The Bainbridge Island building measures 5,000 square feet while the University Place structure is about 2,700 square feet. Both are administrative offices.
