Whit Hamlin recently joined GLY Construction as a project engineer and is now working in estimating and at the Overlake Hospital Medical Center project. He holds a building construction degree from the University of Washington.
Edmund Ellis has been appointed to the project management team at O.B. Williams Company, a Seattle-based millwork firm. His new responsibilities include consulting and planning. Ellis holds an architectural engineering degree from Washington State University and has 15 years of experience in building design.
Sears recently recognized Custom House Inc. of Lacey as one of eight authorized contractors nationally that provided superior customer satisfaction on installed home improvements during the second quarter of 1996. Custom House provides security system products and services under the Sears name.

Bellingham contractor Eldred & Essex has been honored by Ferndale School District No. 502 as Business of the Year for 1996. The company has been involved in several projects over the years for the school district, including a renovation of Central Elementary, an addition of a performing classroom at North Bellingham Elementary, and renovations at Ferndale High.
