Sumner's RCI Construction Group has promoted Doug Ide to senior project manager/estimator and added Travis Bodine to its Central Planning Unit, which serves as a direct link between the estimating department and field operations. Ide joined RCI in 1997 as a mechanical project engineer. His new responsibilities include oversight of all mechanical operations, except Hawaii operations, plus the Central Planning Unit. Bodine began his career at his father's utility/grading company in the late 1960s, then moved to work on heavy engineering projects and treatment plants throughout the U.S. He developed and managed his own construction management consulting firm over the past 10 years.
CH2M Hill Hanford Group in Richland has hired David Amerine as executive vice president and deputy general manager. Amerine has 30 years of management experience in the nuclear services industry. He previously worked as executive vice president for Westinghouse Savannah River Co., the manager of the U.S. Department of Energy's Savannah River Site in South Carolina. In his new role at CH2M Hill, he will be responsible for operations, projects, engineering, business management and environmental, safety, health and quality. His first day is Aug. 19.
The Rafn Co. of Bellevue has hired Effective Design Studio to help re-brand the firm and develop a new identity and marketing program. Tasks at hand include market positioning, branding and logo design, and new brochures and presentation materials
