Grant Willman has been hired as general superintendent of the Commercial Division of Lease Crutcher Lewis. Willman has been in construction since 1975 and a superintendent since 1977. He was a superintendent at Sellen for 12 years. He also has been a project manager and estimator, as well as owner of Willman Construction.
The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington has been re-accredited through the association's national chapter standards accreditation program. To receive full accreditation, reviews are conducted of chapter management practices, financial management practices, leadership development initiatives, and chapter programs and services.
RCI Construction Group, headquartered in Sumner with an office in Honolulu, has reached SHARP status with the Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Division. The award, which stands for Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program, required a year of review by state and federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration inspectors. Included were site surveys, inspections, employee interviews and program reviews.
Woodinville-based Steelcraft Construction has been named Western Region Builder of the Year by the Buildings Division of Butler Manufacturing Co. The company also reached the $10 million sales level of Butler metal buildings. The Builder of the Year designation is awarded to one Butler Builder per region who excels in the sale of Butler building and roof systems.
HomeAid Master Builders Care, a philanthropic arm of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, has won its second consecutive Gold Nugget Community Spirit Award. The group's winning project was a partnership with Seattle Emergency Housing Services to renovate a multifamily house on Capitol Hill. George Truppi of Truppi's Finer Homes led the volunteers, and Kennan-Myer Architects donated design work.
