Coastal Atlantic Associates of Edmonds, a manufacturers' representative of exterior building products, has signed agreements with Bemo USA and Metl-Span. Mesa, Ariz.-based Bemo makes metal roof systems while Lewisville, Texas-based Metl-Span makes metal roof and wall panels. Coastal signed the agreements to expand its metal building program. The new lines will be headed up by Bill Alma, who is in charge of the company's metal program.
Minneapolis-based M.A. Mortenson Co. is celebrating its 50th year in business. The contractor has operated an office in Bellevue for the past 22 years, working on the state Legislative Building in Olympia, West Point Wastewater Treatment Plant in Seattle and other projects.
The Quality Street Showcase of Exceptional Homes luxury-home tour has netted $360,000 for Seattle Children's Hospital. Admission revenue from the event went to the hospital's uncompensated care fund. In addition to the event's three primary sponsors John L. Scott Real Estate, Reserve Tristar and Pacific Land Investment several luxury homebuilders donated a percentage of the selling price of the homes. Builders included Boitano Construction, Chaffey Homes, Dean Homes, Bruce Fine Homes, Johnson Design Homes and Lochwood-Lozier Elegant Homes.
