WSDOT shrink wraps bridge to protect environment

    Crews recently shrink wrapped the Nooksack River Bridge near the Whatcom County town of Glacier to contain lead paint debris.

    WHEN IT CAME TIME for the Washington State Department of Transportation to repair and repaint the Nooksack River Bridge on the Mount Baker Highway, the contractor proposed an unusual way to protect the environment: shrink wrap the bridge.
