Pilot project spells out quake risk to schools

    Walla Walla High School was among the schools evaluated in a state pilot project to collect information on earthquake risks at public schools.

    Earthquakes are an ever-present danger in Washington: More than 1,000 earthquakes happen here annually, including four major earthquakes in the last 65 years.
