Contractor goes to great depths at Ballard locks

  • Redside Construction worked under water to fortify a wall and place a rock foundation.

    Two excavators work off a barge to place 220 tons of rock downstream of the spillway. The rock foundation will prevent future scouring of the basin from water flowing from the Ballard locks.

    Construction sites, large and small, have the potential for danger.
