IMCO General Construction Inc. of Bellingham recently promoted Anne Bartlett to project manager of the ongoing $4.9 million expansion of Ferndale's wastewater facility. She will be responsible for budgeting, contract planning, subcontractor negotiations, purchasing and estimating. Bartlett holds a civil engineering degree from the University of Washington.
Daniel M. Smith has been promoted to vice president of Fullman Company, a Portland-based mechanical contractor. Smith has over 14 years of experience in mechanical contracting, focusing on the advanced technology industry for microelectronics and biotechnology. He will oversee all Fullman advanced technology projects in Oregon and Washington.
The Puget Sound Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute recently awarded scholarships to Trish Werner of Shoreline and Mary Madole Otness of Duvall. Both are architectural engineering graphics students at Lake Washington Technical College. The scholarships provide a year's membership to CSI, waive tuition for courses offered by the chapter and match students with a mentor from the industry.

Kenneth A. Evjen has joined Approach Management Services, a Seattle-based risk management consultant. Evjen specializes in construction safety and health. He previously supervised environmental cleanup projects for a California firm.
McKinstry Co. has announced Michael L. Grizzle has been promoted to vice president of McKinstry Oregon. In his new position, Grizzle will be responsible for overseeing corporate operations in Oregon as well as leading its sales and client relations office. Grizzle has 18 years of experience in the construction industry.
Bush, Cotton, Thompson & Scott Inc., an independent construction bonding and insurance brokerage, has been acquired by Acordia Northwest. BCT&S is headquartered in Kirkland and has offices in Portland. It will operate as an independent, wholly-owned division of Acordia Northwest, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the national insurance brokerage firm Acordia.
James. T. Dick of General Construction Co. was the recent recipient of The Beavers' Golden Beaver Award for Supervision. The Beavers is an association of heavy construction contractors.
