Tom Stevens has joined Foushee and Associates as a project manager in the Shell Department. Stevens has over 16 years of experience in estimating and project management.
Mutual Materials has hired two new employees for its Washington Hardscape sales office at 13555 Bel-Red Road in Bellevue. Gregg Knaplund is the new retaining wall specialist and Dave Parisi is the new paving systems specialist. Knaplund holds a communications degree from the University of Washington and Parisi holds a music degree from Lowell University.
Sellen Construction Company has made several changes in its marketing department. Scott Redman was promoted to senior vice president of marketing and business strategy. He now heads up Sellen's four-person marketing team that includes: Charlie Hafenbrack, who was promoted to vice president marketing; Londa Jacques, promoted to senior marketing coordinator; and Rachelle Kearney, who recently joined Sellen as a marketing coordinator.
East Wenatchee-based Silverline Projects Inc., a recreational development company, recently added general contracting, construction management and landscaping services. It also hired Brent Kiggins as vice president and construction superintendent.
Dexter+Chaney, developer of Forefront construction management software for contractors, has established a site on the World Wide Web at http://www.dexterchaney.com. The site offers information about Forefront and its 23 modules, including job cost, equipment, subcontract and payroll information.

Ed Fisher has joined Auburn-based Poe Construction as a project manager. Fisher holds a civil engineering degree from Oregon State University and has nine years of experience in the industry.
King County's Department of Development and Environmental Services is moving effective May 19. DDES is moving from its Bellevue location to the BlackRiver Corporate Park in Renton (900 Oakesdale Ave. S.W.). To accommodate the move, DDES will be closed May 15-16 and will reopen at noon on May 19. All phone numbers will remain the same.
MYR Group Inc. completed its purchase May 1 of D.W. Close Company Inc. Close has served the Seattle area since 1947. The electrical contractor's revenues are in the $25 million-$30 million range. MYR is a publicly-held holding company of specialty construction service providers.
The Associated General Contractors of America has elected its 1997-1998 officers. J. Howard Mock, a New Mexico businessman and contractor, has been elected president. Other officers include Peter K.W. Wert, senior vice president; Seattle contractor Terry Deeny, vice president; and Robert Desjardins, treasurer. Deeny is CEO and chairman of Deeny Construction.
