General Construction

Ron Morford has been promoted to vice president of the Equipment Division at General Construction Company in Seattle. Morford has worked at General for 15 years as a superintendent, project engineer, project manager, general superintendent and construction manager. His new duties include asset management of the company's marine and land equipment, plus construction management of dredging, heavy lift and special marine projects. He holds a civil engineering degree from Washington State University and has attended Texas A&M.

Approach Management

Approach Management Services has hired Bonni "B.J." Bailey and Todd Wright. Bailey is a certified workers' compensation administrator and will serve as retro coordinator to help administer the company's retrospective rating group, the National Electrical Contractors' Association. Wright is the new safety and health specialist at AMS.

Sharon Andreason of McDevitt & Andreason CPAs of Edmonds was recently elected president of the Greater Everett Chapter No. 213 of the National Association of Women in Construction. Other officers elected include vice president Virginia Carey of Carey's Rockeries/Excavation in Bothell; recording secretary Laurel Pratt of Moon Construction Co. in Mountlake Terrace; corresponding secretary Sharon Larsen of Carl Larsen Construction in Mukilteo; and treasurer Sandra Skolrud of American Construction Co. in Everett. New board members include Judy Fox of CSR-Associated and Gladys Bismore of Snohomish County Grants Administration. Phyllis McKenzie of Sunray Properties in Lakewood was elected to the National Board of Directors and will represent chapters in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and parts of Canada.
