DPR Construction has relocated and expanded its Seattle Offices. The New address is 157 Yesler Way, Second Avenue, Seattle, 98104. The phone number remains 206-292-4800 and the fax number is 206-292-8050. DPR is a national building contractor specializing in technically demanding projects in the microelectronic, biopharmaceutical, health care and corporate areas. DPR has 11 offices across the U.S., including another Northwest office in Portland.
GLY has hired three new employees to meet growing demands. Project manager Gavin O'Brien is currently managing multiple projects at Nintendo of America's corporate campus. He is also providing preconstruction services for an Eastside office and manufacturing facility. Project engineer Bill DeJarlais is providing engineering services to TRF Pacific's 42-acre Woodinville Retail Center. Sitework should be done by the end of the year. Human resource manager Forbes McCreery has joined the firm to assist in building and retaining staff. His duties include recruiting, employee relations, training and organizational development. GLY is celebrating its 30th year providing construction services in the greater Seattle area. Annual sales for fiscal year 1997 total $85 million.
The University of Washington Department of Construction Management, Construction Management Alumni Association and the Construction Industry Advisory Council will hold the Third Annual Construction Hall of Fame Celebration Dinner and Auction on Saturday, November 15 at the Bellevue Athletic Club. To be honored as 1997 inductees to the Hall of Fame are Bob Cochran of Cochran Electric, Richard Eberharter formerly of Eberharter Construction, and Frank Young Jr. of GLY Construction. They join previous winners George Allen of McKinstry Corporation, William Conner of Conner Development, James Crutcher of Lease Crutcher Lewis, Terry Deeny of Deeny Construction, and William Scott of Sellen Construction. In addition to the ceremony, the program will include a presentation on the new Major League Baseball Stadium by Steve Fisher, vice president and project manager for Kiewit Construction Company.
