Red Dot Corp., a Seattle-based developer and manufacturer of mobile heating and air conditioning systems, named Bruce Channer to the position of vice president of sales and marketing. Channer has been with the company full-time since 1971, most recently serving as vice president of finance.

Submittals seminar

The Construction Specifications Institute is holding a Jan. 13 seminar in Seattle on submittals and substitutions. The Associated Builders & Contractors of Western Washington has handed out safety awards to its members under its STEP (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) program. STEP was developed to provide contractors with an organized approach to analyze and develop safety and loss prevention programs and provide a valid, objective method to measure safety program improvements. Winners of the highest achievement, the Platinum award, were S.D. Deacon Corp. of Washington, Sea Con/Seattle Construction Services and Strand Hunt Construction. There were 66 winners of Gold awards, 56 Silver and 12 Bronze.

Coastal Atlantic
