PSF Mechanical has named Jim Reynolds vice president. His new duties include oversight of the Engineering Department, sales and market development. Reynolds joined PSF in 1996 and has been in the HVAC industry since 1977. PSF also announced Doug Symmons has been promoted to sales manager. Symmons will manage PSF’s staff of sales and project managers for local and national projects. He has been with PSF for the past three years and has 17 years of experience in the HVAC field. PSF is celebrating its 100th anniversary in the Puget Sound area. The company provides design/build mechanical construction services.
Kennewick-based Apollo Sheet Metal has won the "1999 Outstanding Builder" and "Top 10" awards from Star Building Systems. Apollo won the builder award for its leadership in the steel building industry, its community involvement, customer service and sales achievements. It won the "Top 10" award for having the highest sales volume in the Northwest Territory District in 1999.

Nick Nichols has joined Pacific North Equipment as territory manager, responsible for Washington and Tillamook counties in Oregon. Nichols has more than 18 years experience in construction and timber harvesting equipment sales. Pacific North Equipment is the authorized distributor for Komatsu, Dresser, Timberjack, Moxy, Sakai, Esco and Allied products in Washington, Oregon, Alaska and eastern Russia.
James E. Cole, president of Western Peterbilt in Seattle, was nominated for the 2000 ATD/Heavy Duty Trucking Truck Dealer of the Year Award. Cole was one of six nominees evaluated by a team of judges from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. The winner will be announced during the ATD convention in San Antonio, Tex. on April 8

Tech-Fast, a Tacoma-based supplier of buildings for the self-storage industry, has hired Leon Dazey as regional sales manager, Tom Stewart as manager of estimating services and Wendy Latham as an administrative sales assistant.
W.G. Clark Construction of Seattle recently won a national award for safety from the Associated General Contractors of America. The award is part of a new program that looks at direct evidence of corporate commitment, worker training, active participation and safety innovation. W.G. Clark took top honors for building contractors with more than 200,000 worker hours.
The Associated Builders & Contractors of Western Washington recently honored Todd Himle of Orco Construction Supply for his efforts in recruiting 11 new members to the organization. Himle received a beam club jacket for his efforts.
A class on intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel will be held April 18 and 20 in Seattle by the Associated General Contractors of Washington Education Foundation. The program is designed to increase the skills of basic Excel users who want to become more efficient by using absolute cell references, range names, statistical functions and the Function Wizard.
