David Howell, Washington state district manager of Tradesmen International, has been elected 2003-2004 board chair of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington. Other elected officers include: Jon Havelock of Med-Tox Northwest, chairman elect; Mike Sotelo of W.G. Clark Construction Co., vice chairman of professional development; Dan McTaggart of Ledcor Construction, vice chairman of membership; Steve Cofchin of Air Systems Engineering, vice chairman of advocacy; Jim Sweeney of Corporate Strategies & Development, secretary/ treasurer; and Joan Baldwin of TEC Mechanical Service Co., immediate past chair. Directors include: Judy Jewell of Olympian Precast, Grant Larsen of Express Construction, Steve Lyman of High Country Contractors, Randy Bosley of Unique Restoration Enterprises, John Hennessy of Nuprecon, De Leigh of DeBolte Plumbing & Heating, Doug Ostergaard of North Star Electric, Karen Say of Saybr Contractors, and Ed Plikaytis of American Environmental Construction.
Skanska USA Building has formed Skanska Pharmaceutical Group to provide validation of pharmaceutical and biotech facilities for FDA approval. The new group will operate within Skanska’s Science and Technology Division and will he headed by industry veterans Andrew D. Skibo and Wael Allan. Skibo is president of the new group and executive vice president of the Science and Technology Division. Allan is senior vice president, and is serving as managing director of Skanska Pharmaceutical Group's United Kingdom entity. Skanska has pharmaceutical clients in the Seattle area, as well as other parts of the world. The Pharmaceutical Group will operate from the firm's USA headquarters in Parsippany, N.J.
