EcoFab

Chappelle
EcoFab, a Seattle sustainable building firm, hired Dave Chappelle as a construction manager. Chappelle has more than 32 years of experience in project management. He is managing energy-efficiency upgrades and sustainable home renovation projects.

United Tile

Ronald Cook and Robert Hart were named managing partners at United Tile. The two have worked with United Chairman Ken Wiedemann for more than 17 years. Cook focuses on sales and marketing, while Hart is in charge of finance and operations. Cook has more than 30 years of industry experience; Hart holds an MBA from Pepperdine University. United distributes tile and other building materials through four locations in Washington and Oregon. Cook works in the Renton office, while Hart and Wiedemann work in the Portland office.

Lagotek

Bellevue's Lagotek hired Phil Herres as chief executive officer. Eugene Luskin, former CEO, is remaining as chairman and chief technology officer. Herres has more than 25 years of senior management experience, including a role as chief operating officer at Aldus prior to its merger with Adobe Systems. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Gonzaga University and an MBA from the University of Oregon. Lagotek develops and markets energy-saving building and home automation systems.

Gaco Western

Seattle's Gaco Western hired Eric Peterson as chief financial officer. Peterson has 30 years of experience in accounting, analytics and finance. He previously was CFO and vice president of finance and administration for the Independent Brewers United. He succeeds Mark Elliott, who was CFO since 2004. Gaco makes elastomeric coatings and polyurethane spray foam for the construction and waterproofing industries.

Greenberry Industrial

Corvallis, Ore.–based Greenberry Industrial won Shell's 2009 Contractor Health, Security, Safety and Environmental Leadership Award. The honor recognizes Greenberry's incident-free safety record in 2009 at Shell's Portland facility. The company claims it has completed more than 2.2 million consecutive work hours over the last six years without a lost-time accident in its projects. Greenberry is an industrial general contractor and fabricator with offices in Portland, Vancouver, Burlington and Ontario, Calif.

Korsmo Construction

Commercial contractor John Korsmo Construction of Tacoma is changing its corporate brand. The update includes a new logo as well as a name change to Korsmo Construction.

SDC Homes

SDC Homes of Puyallup opened a kiosk at the Tacoma Mall to sell its new homes. The kiosk is located across from the entrance to Macy's.
