General contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis hired
Joe Nielsen as project manager and
Karin Yarbrough as network/systems administrator in its Seattle office. Nielsen has been in construction since 2003 and is working in the firm's Special Projects Division. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Arizona State University. Yarbrough is working in the Information Technology Department. She is a five-year IT professional, and holds a bachelor's degree in information technology from the University of Phoenix.
Tom Bordner joined general contractor Kirtley-Cole Associates as director of business development. Prior to joining Kirtley-Cole, Bordner directed business development at Unimark Construction and Sellen Construction. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University.
The Associated Builders and Contractors appointed
Michael D. Bellaman president and CEO of its national operations. Bellaman had a 23-year career with Lend Lease Corp. that included a two-year stint as CEO of Americas for Bovis Lend Lease. He was a member of ABC's Virginia Chapter, where he served as chairman. He holds a bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from Penn State University. On Feb. 1, he will replace
Kirk Pickerel, who is retiring after nearly 28 years at the association, including 10 years as its leader.

Dan Jankelson was named president and CEO of Transpac Marinas in Anacortes. Jankelson joined the company in 1989 and served as chief operating officer for the past 10 years. Transpac designs and manufactures marine flotation and wave-attenuation systems. Jankelson replaces Dave Rytand, who remains active in the business, focusing on sales and new product development.
David Perkins was named president and CEO of Pacific Coast Steel, a reinforcing steel contractor. Perkins takes over for
Eric B. Benson, who served as the company's president for 18 years. For the past five years, Perkins was executive vice president at San Diego-based Pacific Coast Steel, which operates in 10 western states in partnership with Gerdau Ameristeel. Locally, the company has an office in Auburn. Benson will remain on the company's board and its executive management team.
Dexter + Chaney's Spectrum Equipment Service System was selected as one of the Top 100 New Products of 2010 by Construction Equipment magazine. Products were evaluated using a number of criteria, including advances in technology, significant improvement in performance and increasing the competition in a product category. ESS is used by contractors to automatically collect key equipment data in real time from the field. Dexter + Chaney is based in Seattle.
