Steve Klimek of Redhawk Group was elected board chair of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington. Other new officers are: Amanda Grindle of Muir Contracting, chair-elect; Erin VerHoeven of Corstone Contractors, immediate past chair; Ryan Haggard of Haggard Electrical Contractors, vice chair of government and labor relations; Jeff Harding of Premier Builders, vice chair of development and education; Larry Newton of Lovsted-Worthington, vice chair of membership; and Mark VanWell of VanWell Masonry, secretary-treasurer. New directors for 2011-12 are Jon Havelock of Med-Tox Northwest and Ken Snyder of Graham Contracting. Greg Nolten of Dochnahl Construction was re-elected to another term. Returning directors are: Jamie Creek of Synergy Construction, Richard Malowney of Hub International Northwest, Jim Stockburger of Davis Schueller Inc., Dawn Lanz of McMullen Electric, and Brian Pahlow of NCM Group.
Vancouver-based RSV Building Solutions promoted Debbie Marcoulier to vice president of business operations. Marcoulier is overseeing the financial performance of the company, human resources, office operations, and marketing and public relations. She has 20 years of business administration experience and holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Concordia University. She has been with the firm since 2004. RSV specializes in new construction, remodeling, maintenance and tenant improvements.

John Wescott joined Cochran Inc. as business development manager. Wescott's construction background includes working as a project manager and consultant. He most recently served as director of strategy for a large electrical contractor in the South.
General contractor BNBuilders recently won a 2011 Design Build Award from the Western Pacific Region of the Design-Build Institute of America. BNBuilders was cited for its work on a $16.8 million project for the University of California, Davis that included a winery, brewery and food pilot plant. The project used BIM to model all MEP, architectural and structural systems prior to the start of construction. BNBuilders has offices in Washington, California and Montana.
