The Seattle office of Andersen Construction hired Mike Finney as senior superintendent, Rob McGarry as superintendent, Patricia Nakamura as project manager and Kathryn Walker as front desk coordinator. Finney has nearly 30 years of experience building hotels, high-rises, multifamily, offices, retail, schools, resorts and industrial facilities. McGarry is a fourth-generation carpenter with more than 15 years of experience. Nakamura has 21 years of design and construction experience. Walker has more than 15 years of experience.

Mark Glass joined PCL Construction Services in Seattle as construction manager. With more than 40 years of construction experience, Glass is providing technical expertise and support on office, condominium, apartment and tenant improvement projects.


Sequoyah Electric hired Diane Alford as senior project administrator and Tom Williams as senior project manager. Alford has more than 18 years of industry experience and specializes in job tracking, bill preparation and management of large projects. Williams has more than 15 years of experience in commercial, industrial and tenant improvements projects. He holds a bachelor's degree from Washington State University.

The Construction Industry Training Council of Washington hired Silviu Istrate as continuing education program assistant. Istrate is the first point of contact for continuing education registrants, and ensures that course completion information gets to appropriate state departments. He previously worked as a financial aid counselor at Antioch University. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Western Washington University.

Zerah Florance of Washington Patriot Construction in Gig Harbor passed the Design-Build Institute of America Designated Design-Build Professional exam. Individuals holding the DBIA certification have demonstrated their knowledge of design-build project delivery through education, experience and examination.
Orion Equipment is now a dealer of Hyundai construction equipment. Orion is selling, renting and servicing Hyundai equipment from its dealership in Seattle. The line includes wheel loaders, crawler and wheeled excavators, mini-excavators and skid-steers. Tim Collingsworth is the general manager at Orion.

The Seattle Transportation Infrastructure Group of PCL Civil Constructors hired Virgil Curtis as senior project manager. Curtis has 19 years of construction experience in road, bridge, transit and water resource projects. At PCL, he is involved with design-build and GC/CM projects throughout the company's western operations.
Zachary V. Mason is now chief operating officer and principal at Pattison General Contractor. Mason is a 15-year industry veteran who joined Pattison in 1999. As a carpenter, he worked his way up through the field to lead superintendent, and then to lead project manager while taking business and project management courses. Redmond-based Pattison specializes in Class A tenant improvement, medical, light-industrial and retail projects.
Ketchum, Idaho-based Decked LLC formed partnerships with five dealers in the Seattle area for its full-sized pickup truck bed storage systems. The dealers are Magic Toyota in Edmunds, Michael's Toyota in Bellevue, Michael's Chevrolet in Issaquah, and 4-Wheel Parts in Lynnwood and Tacoma. The Decked system has two waterproof bed-length drawers.
