CH2M won a Project Achievement Award from the Construction Management Association of America for the Oregon State Hospital in Junction City. CH2M won in the category for new buildings valued at less than $100 million. The Colorado-based company served as project manager for the Oregon Health Authority.

In Seattle, Walsh Construction Co. promoted Eric Bowman to estimator, B.J. Graham to superintendent, and Tracy Ann Michel and J.J. Powell to project managers. The company also added Kevin Commins as integrated construction detailer, Jonathan Chow and Juanita McLaughlin as project engineers, Marwa Zahid as project administrator, and Kaitlyn Richmond as front desk administrator. Bowman began his career at Walsh in 2010 as a project engineer and was promoted in 2013 to project manager. Graham joined Walsh in 2005 as a journeyman carpenter/crew leader and was promoted in 2014 to assistant superintendent. Michel started at the company in 2010 as a project engineer and was promoted in 2014 to assistant project manager. Powell joined Walsh in 2010 as project engineer. Commins holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering management from Oregon State University. Chow was an intern at Walsh and recently graduated from Whitman College. McLaughlin is working in the estimating department, and recently earned a certificate in construction management from the University of Washington. Zahid is working on the Ronald Commons project. Richmond supports the Seattle main office.
The Roadway Safety Foundation and the Federal Highway Administration recently honored the Washington State Department of Transportation for its efforts to encourage counties to develop data-driven local road safety plans. WSDOT's program was one of 10 recognized with a 2015 National Roadway Safety Award.
