Mortenson Construction

The Seattle office of Mortenson Construction hired Eric Hielema and Tamara Hartner as senior project managers, Marc Michon as project manager, Tyson Wagner as senior electrical superintendent, Rachel VanderWerff as administration assistant and Danita Ruby in the estimating department. Hielema, PE, is managing construction of a wastewater treatment plant for the city of Bend, Oregon. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Washington. Hartner returns to Mortenson after working for Lydig Construction and The Boldt Co. She has an MEP background. Michon is working on the Carver Academic renovation at Western Washington University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Ferris State University. Wagner is working on the Elliott Bay Seawall. VanderWerff is also working on the WWU Carver project. Ruby holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the UW.

McMillen Jacobs Associates

William W. Edgerton, principal and past president of McMillen Jacobs Associates, was elected as a member of the National Academy of Construction’s 2015 class. Edgerton is manager of tunneling for the $2.6 billion Clean Rivers Project in Washington, D.C. He previously was project manager on King County’s Brightwater project.
