In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Sean Gephart to project manager and hired Scott Chapman as senior project manager. It also hired the following: Mason Seto and Michael Martin as senior project engineers; Gillian Syverson as operations assistant; Joe Cao as VDC detailer; and Karina Chen, Chazz Jinadu, Chris Kowalski and Brent Siegfried as project engineers. Gephart has been with the company since 2011 and is working on Seattle Cancer Care Alliance projects. Chapman, Seto and Martin previously worked at Lewis. Chapman is managing Gerding Edlen's Capitol Hill Station TOD project. Seto, an 18-year professional, is working on the Third & Lenora residential/office tower for Martin Selig Real Estate. Martin is working on preconstruction for Vulcan's Block 48 office building. Syverson has an office administration background that includes 18 years in construction. Cao is working on Selig's 15th & Market office building. Chen has four years of estimating and project engineering experience and is working in preconstruction. Jinadu, who has three years of industry experience and is OSHA 30 certified, is working on the Arbor Blocks project. Kowalski has five years of industry experience and is working on Rainier Square. Siegfried recently earned a bachelor's in civil engineering from Washington State University and is working at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

The Walsh Group hired Amy Anderson as project engineer in its Seattle office, where she is working on the Sea-Tac Airport Concourse D hardstand. Anderson started in the construction industry in 2008 as a receptionist and later worked as payroll administrator, contract administrator, project manager assistant and project coordinator. She previously was project engineer at Absher Construction.

Tina Ray joined Amento Group as claims consultant and project manager. Ray is helping Amento clients with preparation, analysis and resolution of construction claims and disputes at all stages. She also is providing project management, building defect analysis, investigation forensics, litigation support and remediation planning.

David Schmidt is the new COO for Skanska USA Commercial Development, which self-finances, develops, leases and divests commercial and multifamily projects. Schmidt has more than 35 years of industry experience and holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering management from Oregon State University. He is based in the Seattle office. Jim Link is taking Schmidt's old position of COO overseeing building operations in the Pacific Northwest, Texas and Arizona. Link has 33 years of industry experience and holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Portland and a master's degree in construction engineering and management from Stanford University. He is based in Portland. Tim Johnson is taking Link's old position of executive vice president and general manager for Oregon operations. Johnson has been with Skanska for 23 years and holds a bachelor's degree from Boise State University. He is based in Portland.

The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties installed Erich Armbruster of Ashworth Homes as 2018 president and board chair. Here are the rest of the officers: Sunshine Kapus of Gamut360 Holdings, first vice president; Bonnie Geers of Quadrant Homes, second vice president; Jayson Buechler of Housing Capital Co., secretary; and Mike Walsh of Terrene Homes, immediate past president.
