Panorama Apartments has opened after a year-long renovation of the 1962 Panorama House apartment building at 1100 University St. on First Hill.
The 18-story, 179-unit project called for full-unit renovations including cabinets, countertops and appliances. Work also involved replacing the original electrical system, adding a high-speed fiber network, and installing washers and dryers.
Amenity spaces include a fitness center, Tiki-themed lounge and outdoor pool deck with a barbecue and fire pit.
There are one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as penthouses. Most units have 175-square-foot patios. The owner had considered turning large apartments into smaller units, but decided that having larger units would differentiate the building in this market.
One-bedroom, 860-square-foot units are available starting at $2,672, and three-bedroom, 1,383-square-foot units start at $4,670.
Owner: Security Properties
Property manager: Madrona Ridge Residential
Architect: Clark Design Group
General contractor: Venture General Contracting
