‘Red' explores life and work of Rothko

SEATTLE — “Red,” a play about one year in the life of the abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko, opens today for a three-week run at Seattle Repertory Theatre. “Red” was a hit on Broadway and won six Tony Awards in 2010.
