Exiles in Africa endure the upheavals of war

By JOCELYN NOVECK
Associated Press Writer

One of the most admirable qualities of "Nowhere in Africa," which netted Germany the best foreign film Oscar, is that it does just that, telling the poignant story of one family's wartime experience as well as providing a piercing look at a struggling marriage, with all its ups and downs.
