Design Perspectives -- Views are mixed on protecting views

  • The city is redoubling efforts to preserve cherished views, but construction may outpace policy.

    • Question: When is a view just pleasant scenery, and when is it a right?

    Answer: It's a right when it involves a natural or historic landmark, seen from a designated public place.
