  • The Civic Center design team is living up to the dreams of Seattle, but the design carries some of the political and aesthetic baggage of the decade.

    • The stakes have never been higher for a design team in Seattle. With the new City Hall and block-sized plaza, the opportunity for fashioning a physical heart for the city is historic. We've lived with the second-hand, second-rate design of the 40-year-old Municipal Building long enough.
