Andrew Bergh: Driver's mental troubles fail to convince the court

It was definitely the wrong time for a delusion.

While driving on Interstate 405, Nancy Knorr suddenly thought she was the object of a "conspiracy to attack her." Her less-than-rational response? To attempt suicide by turning her car around towards oncoming traffic, removing her seatbelt, and driving head-on into another car.
