Mason contractor: Fairweather Masonry
Architect: Rice Fergus Miller
Owner: King County Fire District
General contractor: Bayley Construction
The new headquarters station for King County Fire District No. 2 was originally designed with materials other than masonry, but fire station officials were adamant that their building be made with masonry.
The building has more than 25,000 pieces of ground-face CMU and more than 500 ornate pieces of integral band and precast cornice.
