Filipino Community Village

Filipino Community Village is a mixed-use community center in Seattle’s Othello neighborhood at 5727 37th Ave. S.

It has 95 affordable and low-income housing units for seniors, including studios and one-bedrooms.

There is a 4,800-square-foot Innovation Learning Center with a computer lab, which is owned and operated wholly by Filipino Community of Seattle.

There is also a community room, business center and conference room, exercise room, rooftop terrace and parking for 22 vehicles.

Designed with input from the community, the project includes a plaza for outdoor gathering, an art mural painted by artist Eliseo Silva, large outdoor decks, and the incorporation of Capiz window panels from the Philippines in common spaces.

The hard construction cost was about $25 million and total development cost is $35 million.
