Tacoma closes Puyallup River bridge as FHWA raises safety concerns

The new section of the bridge, which is not the area of concern, spans six railroad tracks.

The city of Tacoma on Friday closed Fishing Wars Memorial Bridge that leads into the city from Fife after the Federal Highway Administration recommended shutting it down due to safety concerns.
