Port of Seattle seeks contractor for $30M T-18 shore power gig

Hapag-Lloyd’s Kuala Lumpur Express at Husky Terminal’s inaugural shore-power plug-in on June 15 when that $15.5 million system launched at the Port of Tacoma.

The Port of Seattle is looking for a contractor to bring shore power to two berths at Terminal 18 on Harbor Island, allowing vessels to turn off their diesel engines and ‘plug-in' to the local power grid while at port, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
