First Avenue South bridge repairs kick off Monday

Monday’s work is the first phase of repairs on the northbound lanes of the movable double-leaf bascule bridge over the Duwamish.

The northbound lanes of state Route 99's First Avenue South bridge over the Duwamish River will close for three days next week as transportation crews make temporary repairs to cracks in the steel deck grates.
