Seattle firm finds a niche at dizzying heights

    IN THE 1940S, brothers Sid and Bud Fisher won a contract to paint the Aurora Bridge in Seattle. But before climbing the railing and dangling over the 175-foot drop, the brothers decided to create a caged platform that would go on to become an industry standard for that type of work.
