'Village' will greet Japanese Garden visitors

  • Seattle Parks and Recreation is changing the garden's entryway at Washington Park Arboretum.

    The new entryway will have a few low buildings designed to mimic a Japanese village.

    Almost 50 years after it was built, the Japanese Garden in the Washington Park Arboretum is finally going to get a proper entryway.
