WSDOT's vehicle fleet gets greener

  • The agency recently ranked 83rd in a top-100 list of public fleets.

    WSDOT will begin equipping some of its vehicles with propane tanks next year to lower emissions and extend their range. The agency tested this all-propane truck from Roush in 2009, but decided to retrofit its existing vehicles instead.

    Dealing with your car can be a drag. You have to keep it licensed, insured, fueled, parked and maintained. All of these things cost money. And before too long you may pay to replace your car as well.
