    NewHolly combines market-rate, for sale homes and rental units, encouraging visual and socioeconomic diversity. Front porches on each unit embrace a traditional relationship between dwelling and street and encourage neighbor interaction.

    Few things draw the lines between the haves and have-nots quite as starkly as public housing. Substandard buildings often reflect the scarcity of options that face their architects, as well as the people who live in them.
