Tacoma Public Schools opened the new Arlington Elementary School in September.
The 54,000-square-foot school can accommodate up to 450 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
A library serves as a commons area and community space. Outside, courtyards are adjacent to the classrooms and the playground incorporates a grassy hill into the play area.
The $16.9 million project was part of the 2013 Capital Projects Bond approved by Tacoma voters.
Owner: Tacoma Public Schools
