Airbnb has moved into new offices on the second and third floors of 8th + Olive in downtown Seattle.

The 42,000-square-foot space reflects the company's "belong anywhere" mission, with rooms inspired by Airbnb listings from around the world.

The Nairobi room is modeled after a rental unit in a 1950s school bus, with real bus windows, rounded corners and other bus-like details.

Engineers and product designers need quiet desk space to focus but also easy access to in-person communication. A variety of work spaces were created to encourage healthy ergonomics as well as socializing.

Work spaces are divided into six neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has an open desk area, communal tables, personal storage and a multi-function project room.

An atrium connects the two floors, and skylights bring in natural light. A rope installation in the atrium was inspired by Mount Rainier, and nearby rivers and streams.

One large assembly room is used for formal presentations and team meals, with a travel-inspired mural.

More than 60 full-time workers moved to the new office, which has room for 300.
