After Hours: War history film seeks your footage

Seattle TV station KCTS is producing an all-color social history on American life during World War II.

SEATTLE -- Martin Smith, a British documentarian with works to his credit such as PBS's "Vietnam: A Television History" and a 24-episode "Cold War" series that appeared on CNN, has turned his attention to Seattle.

He's working with local public television station KCTS to produce "The Perilous Fight: America's World War II in Color," a four-part social history of the war told from an American perspective. Smith produced a pair of similar documentaries in Britain, "The Second World War in Colour" and "Britain at War in Colour."
