Grand Canyon Airport is expanding

HUALAPAI INDIAN RESERVATION, Ariz. (AP) — A new terminal and welcome center will open next month at Grand Canyon West Airport with a new runaway expected to be in service by the end of this year.

Airport officials said the runway will be 5,000 feet long and 75 feet wide with adjacent helipads accommodating both fixed-wing planes and helicopters.
