SEATTLE — A play based on Nathaniel Hawthorne's “The Scarlet Letter,” written by Naomi Iizuka and directed by Lear deBessonet, begins performances tonight at Intiman Theatre, 201 Mercer St., and continues through Sunday, Dec. 5. Opening night is Friday, Oct. 29.
